FCSR A Team – FC Allianz Suisse, May 8, 2018 Sportanlage Adliswil

And so VAR did not help us to victory. But we should be very proud of the way we played in the second half coming back from the deep end.

Before the big match against FC Allianz Suisse, I had a discussion with our referee from Austria, Mr Wolfgang.
I said 'Wolfgang, the technology is new so you need to be prepared. Sometimes, when you use VAR, instead of football, you will get scenes from a p%%%o film'
Wolfgang said 'Sebastian, I know everything about these movies'

It has been a long time since we play against FC Allianz-Suisse. More than one year. The last time we played, bad things happened and we did not want to see them again We were informed that their bad players were no longer on their team and that they would like to play us again. It was like Barca vs Madrid. They were Barca and we were Madrid. They need to play us and to beat us to feel good. But we are nice guys so we agree to play them again.

It was a beautiful spring day We lined up like this

Before kick-off, Wolfgang and I quickly called FIFA to ask if it was ok to play with two number 2 and three number 13. We received the green light.

Minute 25 they had a free kick on the left, the ball flew into our box, one of their shortest players scored with a head 1-2
Minute %% their number 10 Ali Messi had a solo run and scored 1-3
Minute %%% they had a 3 on 2 situation and Ali Messi scored 1-4
Minute 38, one of our players, let's call him Sergio Ramos, went on attack, lost the ball, they went the other way. Sergio Ramos ran back almost the whole field to our side to recover the ball but instead of the ball, Sergio got the leg/foot/ankle, toe of the opponent who went down injured. No card from Wolfgang. We had many clear chances in the first half and scored one goal. They had a few chances and scored 4. We were like GC last Sunday. 

Halftime talk –Benedikt and Patrick helped captain Andrej to motivate the team and to make some small adjustments. It worked.
We came out in the second half and played like Real Madrid. We dominated the game, we passed the ball, and we scored 3 times to make the game 4-4

Also very important was the coaching from the bench. Not only Andrej Zizou was cheering, Patrick Isco, Mario Marcelo, Iordanis Kovacic, Samir Ronaldo, and others were all contributing in the cheerleading.

20 minutes left. 4-4. We could smell victory.

We pushed hard for number 5. But this time, God was not with us. We were attacking when we lost the ball and Ali Messi had a triangle pass with a teammate and scored. Many were yelling offside and Wolfgang went to VAR and saw something and had a big smile and said 'GOAL' Somehow I don’t think Wolfgang saw football. We tried hard to get a goal to make it 5-5 but then Ali Messi had another chance and he lobbed the ball over our goalie for 4-6

Our record for the season is now 1 win and 2 losses

Next week is English Woche – 2 games – Tuesday vs FC IBM and Thursday vs FC XL Catlin. We can win both. We just need to make some small improvements(*). (*) better substitutions and also let's try to play with 11 players.

In the heat of the night/match, we sometimes played only with 10 players by mistake. And let's make it loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
